Mr. Negreira is the Executive Vice President of Forensic Services & Latin America for Lowers Forensics International in Miami, Florida. He specializes in forensic investigative services, FCPA and fraud risk assessments, corporate compliance, lost profit calculations, economic and market analysis, alternative dispute resolution in domestic and cross border disputes and business interruption/fidelity insurance claims.
Prior to joining Lowers Forensics, Mr. Negreira was with Ernst Young for over 25 years, serving as partner with the firm’s forensics and disputes practice. He served as leader for Latin America and the Caribbean’s forensics and disputes practice as well as the practice leader for the Mexico and Central American region. Mr. Negreira also served as the Quality and Risk Management leader for the forensics and disputes practice in the Caribbean.
Mr. Negreira has investigated allegations stemming from suspected FCPA violations, management & occupational fraud, elaborate financial statement frauds, employee embezzlement, “ponzi” schemes and fraudulent medicare/medicaid billing practices. Mr. Negreira also has experience assisting financial services and trade/export clients in detecting and deterring elaborate money laundering schemes.
Mr. Negreira assists counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants by preparing and analyzing damage claims, providing written and oral expert testimony, preparing counsel for depositions of opposing experts, preparing settlement analyses and participating in settlement negotiations. He also assists parties in disputes by serving as neutral in arbitration proceedings.
Mr. Negreira has assisted Fortune 100 corporations in cross-border disputes involving ownership, merger, acquisition, and breach of distributorship agreements. He has been involved in the preparation of complex domestic and foreign business interruption and fidelity insurance claims in the manufacturing, health care, financial services, and agricultural industries.
